Lululemon, the athletic clothing store, has moved across the street from its original store at The Summit.
The new space is 5,435 square feet, which is an ample amount of room to have an expansive men and women clothing line, more dressing rooms and even an outdoor area.
In celebration of this big move, The Summit hosted a 4-day grand re-opening on Oct. 23-27. It kicked off in the morning with DJ Mark After Dark, Pastry Art and Seeds Coffee. Each day different vendors such as Cookie Fix, Blueroot & Co., Magic City Nutrition and Three15 Studios came to celebrate this opening.
“I went to the yoga class on Sunday and they had smoothies and a photo booth. It was so much fun,” Madison Bullock said. “I already shopped at the original Lululemon, but the new store will make my shopping experience even better.”
The Summit has grown exponentially in the last few years. This move for Lululemon will help enhance the overall shopping experience for their customers and all shoppers that go to The Summit according to Lululemon.
“It is always exciting to watch one of our tenants continue to grow and expand their brand in our community while pushing outside the borders to really enhance the customer’s experiences,” Carver Boynton, general manager at The Summit said. “Lululemon has always been a destination store at The Summit and we’re excited to continue to create and enhance places people love.” Lululemon has changed the game for athletic attire and is reshaping the city of Birmingham. All around town people are wearing Lulu- lemon’s athletic attire.
“Lululemon offers comfort and flexibility. I know anything I buy there will last me a really long time, that is why I spend a little more money on their clothes,” said Birmingham local, Austin Hessinger. “If you are just walking around Red Mountain or downtown Birmingham the majority of people are wearing Lululemon. It is just that good.”
