Samford men’s basketball is struggling in nonconference play, as the Bulldogs have lost four games in a row.
Samford has lost the past four by a combined margin of 13 points. The team has lost to Louisiana Tech and Tennessee Southern at home. They suffered road defeats to DePaul and UCF, with both losses coming in overtime.
Some fans believe that the health of the team is the main key to success. “Well, right now our team has a lot of injuries, sadly,” said Anna Hope Bigham, a junior. “We have several players with knee injuries or leg injuries, so I think honestly to truly improve, we’re just gonna have to regain our health, regain our fitness and hopefully get a little bit of rest in over the break.”
Samford will look to break their losing streak this Saturday, as they play at Louisiana-Lafayette.
