The Latino Student’s Organization, better known as the LSO, hosted their Noche de Bailar at the top of the Brock School of Business. Students had the opportunity to engage with Latin American culture through dancing.
“One of the most memorable things about my culture is that we are all born knowing how to dance.” says Nat Fernández, vice president of the LSO. “I don’t know how, it is just in our blood, but we want to celebrate that with other people that are not just Latino that are maybe just Americans, international students”
Students from all backgrounds attended the Noche de Bailar. Jose Ocampo, president of the LSO, shared some remarks about the mission of the LSO.
“Everyone here is not like anyone else. We are all created different,” Ocampo shared. “The one thing that brings us together is the Lord who created us, so I would just say to continue to be who you are and celebrate everyone for who they are.”
The LSO is one of many organizations on campus that offer students the ability to grow and join together to build a stronger campus community.
