Over the years The Crimson has shaped how I look at the world. I started out as a contributing writer and eventually moved to staff writer for The Crimson knowing that what I write has an impact on those around me is what I find most important.
Whether it be a hard-hitting news story or a profile or an entertainment piece, that piece of writing gives a voice to someone; that is what The Crimson, and its people have given me these past three and a half years.
Entering my junior year, I became the newspaper’s first Public Relations Manager. While I held that position, I learned that being a leader is more than making sure your staff reaches every deadline. It is about fostering and developing relationships with those around you.
We work tirelessly every week on the newspaper and love every second of it. It is more than a newspaper comprised of stories and happenings on campus but something that the entire staff loves.
To The Crimson and everyone I have worked with, you have made my experience here at Samford like no other, and I would not change it for the world.
