This past Thursday the new champions of intramural flag football were crowned at Bobby Bowden Field. Teams formed from all over Samford to compete in the intramural games.
One after the other, the two finalists from the woman’s, co-ed, and mens one and two divisions competed in the 50-minute games to see who will come out on top. ChiO, Assault and Battery, Alpha Kappas, and Footballers all gained their titles in each of the four divisions.
With two games only ending with one team scoring, one wonders how the teams strategize for each game.
Captain of the ChiO team commented on how she never practiced with her team before the games, and they still came out on top of the woman’s league.
“We show up to the games and throw the ball around in a circle,” she states. “then come up with plays on the fly.”
All four teams can be seen repping their infamous champions shirt around campus.
