On Thursday, November 3rd, Samford University, kicked off their Homecoming celebrations with a student celebration on Ben Brown Plaza. The event included Taco Mama being served by the basketball teams, the basketball teams handing out t-shirts to help build the hype for the upcoming season start, basketball shooting, and games led by basketball Coach Bucky with cash prizes. The games were answering questions correctly concerning Samford University.
All of this led up to the Homecoming Court and the crowing of the Homecoming King and Queen. The two chosen out of the court were seniors Peyton Lankford and Ellen Conley. They also got to attend the homecoming game against VMI. Here the court was presented again for everyone to see and the king and queen were re-crowned. This event was only the beginning of all the fun Homecoming events that happened over the past weekend, including the homecoming tailgate and the football game.
